I have loved being married to Karl for nearly 25 years and we have 4 beautiful daughters. We now live in the country in East Lothian and I adore the opportunity and necessity of outdoor life. Recently we have experienced caring for 8 lambs, which when you add in the geese and hens is not bad for a ‘townie’! We love our new home especially when we see the restoration and re-envisioning it gives to those who visit.
My working background has been as an oncology/palliative care nurse for over 20 years and now I counsel at the hospice and am on the pastoral care team at church. I also enjoy being a part of a great community of women trying to make a difference with my fashion business, Cabi.
I am passionate about the health and wellbeing of people, emotional, physical and spiritual. Jesus is, of course, the role model – how he walked, talked and loved people, showing incredible kindness. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the church of Jesus Christ was able to reflect and be known for this kindness across the Celtic Nations and the world, and consequently restore hope to all.
God has led us to this place, leading Central Church and Cairn, with all our faults, inadequacies, and hardships as well as many mountain top experiences. He has been faithful and has taught us so many of life lessons. If we can support others in life and leadership and spur them on to live to the full in all their experiences, then we may have a contribution to give to many.
